Keep on Grooving While Moving with an iPod Car Kit – New Dension ice Link Plus, FM Modulator and Gateway Adapters Transform Your Car Radio into Digital iPod Stereo

Manchester, U.K. (PRWEB) March 21, 2007

Digital music fans love their iPods for a reason. They enjoy the convenient portability of anywhere access to their favorite tunes. Unfortunately, car stereo systems still lag far behind the musical technology times, making driving and iPod listening an iffy proposition…until now that is. Regardless of their vehicle make or car radio brand, chances are iPod users will find a compatible car kit at iPod Car Kit Direct. The company’s Dension ice Link Plus and Gateway iPod car kits and adapters are now fully compatible across the entire iPod family of products (except the iPod Shuffle model). And whether they drive an Alfa Romeo or a Volkswagen, iPod Car Kit Direct has a factory fitted iPod car kit that’s right for them. iPod enthusiasts who would like to transform their dull car radios into a 21st-century digital iPod stereo can find the iPod car kit or adapter they need online at iPod Car Kit Direct

According to Macworld.co.uk, there are currently 60 million iPod owners. Solutions Research Group further estimates that ownership of digital music players more than tripled between 2005 and 2006, with 27 percent of the world’s population being a member of this growing retail segment. That’s a lot of iPod listeners wishing their old-school car systems were as technologically up to date as they are. Short of buying a brand new vehicle, iPod enthusiasts have just had to settle for their bland old car radios when they take to the road. That’s where iPod Car Kit Direct comes to the rescue with a full range of iPod compatible Dension car adapters.

Why did iPod Car Kit Direct select Dension as its iPod car kits of choice? The rationale is twofold. First, Dension has recently released the 2nd-generation Nano 2 insert, making its products compatible with the entire suite of iPod products (iPod Shuffles excluded). Dension has also re-mastered and updated its active cradles and dock cables’ software and technology, thus enabling iPod owners to not only charge their iPods but also control their iPod music selection through their steering wheel controls. That’s not to mention that the best-selling Dension Sony ice Link Plus, which caters to aftermarket radios and other alternative radio options, further extends the company’s reach.

As if on-the-road access to their iPod music inventory weren’t enough incentive to purchase a Dension ice Link Plus, Dension ice Link FM Modulator, or Dension Gateway 300, 400 or 500 model iPod adapter, iPod Car Kit Direct is currently extending two special offers to its customers. Anyone who buys an iPod car kit through iPodCarKitDirect.co.uk will receive not only FREE Delivery but also 5% off any order value. Trade customers will be treated to an even more generous 12.5% discount. And with international shipping available, location is no bar to the iPod Car Kit Direct experience.

growing body of evidence suggests that eating apples and drinking apple juice may be helpful when it comes to improving brain health and reduce the symptoms of Alzheimer’s.

Scientists have long declared the consumption of apples has decreased the risk of developing many diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, asthma, and 2 diabetes. Now we can add to this list to protect your brain. University of Massachusetts-Lowell research team led by Dr. Thomas Shea has uncovered a large protective effect for brain apples and apple juice, which accompany aging and contribute to Alzheimer’s disease. Research has been discussed in November / December 2009 issue of High-Tech Industry AgroFOOD.

“Our studies, as similar studies in other laboratories, provide evidence that good nutrition helps maintain a healthy brain, even in the face of genetic risk factors that may otherwise cause a decline in brain function in adults and aging,” Shea said.

Nine published studies from the Shea group, it will be discussed through the article, suggest that eating apples or drinking apple juice may improve cognition (the ability to know or understand), to reduce the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease, and improve mood and behavior of persons with Alzheimer’s disease.

Shea from laboratory animal studies showed that the improved perception of apple juice, and increased levels of acetylcholine, neurotransmitter, which is important for thought and memory functions. According to researchers, the results suggest that apple juice may affect cognition by increasing the neurotransmitter levels.

Total Research survey indicates that apple juice helped prevent the increase in oxidative damage to the brain (which contributes to the decline in cognitive), which is usually seen in aging and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease in mice. In one study, brain tissue of mice consuming apple juice every day appeared reduced beta-amyloid, a protein that forms “senile plaques” of Alzheimer’s.

results of the study at UMass-Lowell are also reviewed. Among 21 individuals with moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease, researchers report that consumption of two 4 oz glass of apple juice daily for one month reduced behavioral and psychotic symptoms associated with dementia by 27 percent. The major changes occurred in reducing levels of anxiety, agitation and delusion. The results suggest that apple juice may be a useful adjunct therapy to reduce decline in mood, which usually involves the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Further details of these studies will shortly issue of American Journal of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

“Although more research is certainly needed, these findings hold promise for future use, to help treat the signs of cognitive decline,” says Sarah Wally, MS RD, a spokesperson for Apple Products Research and Education Council.

Why apples? Scientists believe it remains unclear which components of apples (and apple juice) is responsible for the beneficial effects. Scientists do not, however, shows that the mechanisms of antioxidant activity of apple polyphenols are likely to more health-promoting substances naturally present in fruit.

“This is good news for the apple industry and adds evidence that the old adage” An apple a day keeps the doctor away “is true,” says Allison Parker, MS RD, a spokesperson for the U.S. Apple Association.

So start your New Year off healthy note of one more reason to get an apple (or apple juice serving) a day or two!
